In this case study, we will share all the insights we gained while trying to understand REMOTE INDIAN COMMUNITY, a remote work community. We tried to understand how it functions and what are its user goals.

Why research on Remote Work Communities?

In the last couple of years, communities on the Internet have boomed. Very likely that you and people around you spend a good chunk of their time in communities. After COVID-19, remote work is becoming the near future as people are becoming more comfortable working remotely and collaborating with people online.

• They use it to find genuine connections and also for different purposes such as work, hobbies etc.

And online communities for remote work will help people making their life easier by helping them achieving their goals while working remotely.

What is a Remote Work Community?

Nowadays Remote work has became a working style that allows professionals to work outside of a traditional office environment. It is based on a concept that working has no geographical boundation .

And when many such members come together and share knowledge, build connections and help each other out is what we basically call a Remote Work Community.

Background context of remote work communities

Nowadays, people likely spend a good chunk of their time online and getting used to work and build connections online, especially after the pandemic we faced. And hence Remote work is becoming the future slowly in today's world.

Isn't it interesting if, instead of commuting to an office each day to work from a designated desk, remote employees can execute their goals wherever they please? People have the flexibility to design their days so that their professional and personal lives can be experienced to their fullest potential and coexist peacefully.

Process 🚀

• Performed secondary research for finding data and driving my initial research.
• Performed User interviews through google meet for different age groups for finding out how they feel about remote work community.
• Performed User Surveys for community members as well as non-community members and jotted down all the questions through a google form to get a better understanding of the community and noncommunity members.
